Vermont Babywearers was started in 2008 by Leila (thank you, Lelia!). Liz and Talitha took over the leadership in 2011 when Leila moved away.
Liz is a Mama to three boys. She discovered baby wearing shortly after the birth of her oldest son. She soon realized that wearing her baby resulted in a happy baby and a fed Mama. She loves wrapping, but her boys can also be found snuggled in a ring sling or Ergo. Liz enjoys babywearing while cooking, gardening, hiking and chasing after her older boys.
Talitha first wore a baby when visiting Zimbabwe. She had to use a towel to strap a baby on her back, as was the custom in the family she was visiting. She has since worn her three babies, though admittedly never with a towel. Most days she puts on a mei tai as part of getting dressed, but wraps and a ring sling are also used. She likes to sew mei tais and quilts, garden, read and hike.
