Benefits of Babywearing

Carried babies cry less!
In a study published in the journal Pediatrics, researchers found that babywearing for three hours a day reduced infant crying by 43 percent overall and 54 percent during evening hours.

Taking care of more than one child at a time can be hard work. Babywearing can keep an infant or toddler close and content while leaving your hands free to interact and help another child.

A good carrier keeps your baby right where they want and need to be to thrive. Snuggled against you, they feel the rhythm of your breathing, hear your heartbeat, and are a part of your movements as you go throughout your day.

Wearing your child deepens the bond and attachment between you. This proximity makes reading cues of hunger, tiredness, and wetness easier. Often these needs can be noticed before baby cries and becomes upset, leading to a more relaxed and confident caregiver.

Babywearing allows you to take your baby where a stroller can't.
Enjoying a hike or snowshoe becomes possible.
Navigating busy streets, airports, stores, or public transportation becomes easier.
